Superabsorbent Liquids
Superabsorbent liquids are cross-linked to become superabsorbent polymers through a process of heating over time. 聽The cross-linked liquid is brittle when dried, so a plasticizing agent is added to make the liquid 鈥渇lexible鈥. 聽Additional additives for wetting and/or adhesion can be added as well.
