"Running Helmets"

Starts, Sunday, March 7!

The SC LAKERS Running Helmets is specifically designed for the beginning player, open to boys in Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd grade that are new to the game.  The “Running Helmets” meet one day a week for a one-hour practice & skill teaching session.

Running Helmets Cost:
Registration fee for the Running Helmets division is $245.00 per player (plus applicable SportNgin processing fees). The registration fee includes 7 practices, players also receive a practice/game reversible, program lacrosse shorts, and a program t-shirt.  Registration Deadline: Friday, Feb 12, 2021

Running Helmets Required Lacrosse Equipment:
To save you money,  we have loaner lacrosse helmets that the players may use during the season, or you may purchase your own along with the rest of the player’s protective gear required to participate.

Youth League Overview:
Participants are taught the fundamental skills required to develop into a complete player. At the SC Lakers our primary commitment is teaching the game of lacrosse while providing a great experience and instilling a love for the game. We maintain a positive environment at all times, and our highly qualified instructors help each participant have a great time building friendships, lacrosse skills and a passion for the game. We have a very strong track record helping youngsters build self-confidence and athletic skills while having a blast in our programs.

Who Can Play?
Boys 2nd thru 6th grade

Practice Days
Teams practice Sunday, Wednesday and Friday nights

Practice Times:
Younger teams (2/3/4) from 5:30 to 7:00 pm
Older teams (4/5/6) from 7:00 to 8:30 pm
Actual practices are set after the registration process and align with the head coaches availability.

Home Games:
Are Scheduled on Sundays at Riverview Elementary or Elon Park; away games are on Saturdays, however, we try not to schedule your team games on both Saturdays & Sundays on any given weekend.

Youth League Cost:

MIDDLE SCHOOL LAKERS

Grades 6-7-8

We start on Monday, February 8 2021

MS Lakers Boys Team Overview:
The SC Lakers will field at least one team that will practice Tuesday, and Thursday evenings, then play games on Saturday mornings versus other area middle school teams from North & South Carolina.  If we have the numbers to do so, we will field two teams.  After the first two weeks of practice, to ensure adequate playing time, we separate the boys into two teams (Lakers BLACK & Lakers WHITE).

Who Can Play?
Our spring middle school team is open to current 6th, 7th & 8th graders who live in York County and will attend Ft Mill HS, Nation Ford HS or Catawba Ridge HS.

Practice & Game Location:
Riverview Elementary School on Tuesday & Thursday nights from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.

SC Lakers MS Team Cost:
Registration fee for the Middle School Lakers is $350.00 per player (plus applicable SportNgin processing fees) 

Registration fees include:
Instruction in a 12 week season, including 10-12 games versus area middle school programs. Paid Professional Coaching. Use of HOME/AWAY Game Uniforms, and a Practice reversible & team helmets for the season.

Registration Deadline:
Thursday, January 22, 2021. Due to the anticipated number of students wishing to participate, registration forms will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that schedule & field location subject to change due to availability and final registrations. Also, while we will make every attempt to reschedule practices & games that are canceled due to inclement weather, we can not guarantee that canceled practices or games will be rescheduled.

A note on the overlap of grades.

Second graders with at least one season of experience, who demonstrate the physical and mental maturity, may choose to register for the league.

Experienced sixth graders who demonstrate the physical and mental maturity may choose to register for the middle school team.

Please note that after the first two weeks of any program, we may need to move players up or down.  Our coaching staff will make the final decisions on players who are permitted to play up and will make recommendations if a player should move down a division.

The Covid-19 Refund policy for all spring programs.

If activities are halted directly related to Covid-19, participants will be refunded:
No sessions = 100% full refund
After two weeks = 75% refund
After four weeks = 50% refund
After six weeks = 25% refund
After eight weeks = NO refunds
If a player drops out directly related to Covid-19, and the program continues, they will be refunded:
No sessions = 100% full refund
After two weeks = 50% refund
After four weeks = 25% refund
After six weeks = NO refunds
